Rio Grande Valley Sikh Society Rules and Regulations
All members of the sangat must adhere to the following rules and regulations when present on Gurdwara Sahib premises and during religious services.
(1) When entering a Gurdwara Sahib all the rules and regulations must be followed under the guidance of the Sikh religion. Include but not limited to; head must be covered, pay reverence to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, behave in a civil manner, no smoking, do not serve/drink alcoholic beverages, do not serve/bring non-vegetarian food items.
(2) Audio, video or printed materials such as shabad tapes, books, pamphlets, memorabilia, magazines, papers, essays and items related to and promote Sikhism or any other Sikh cause must be approved with prior written consent from RGVSS executive committee.
(3) Any lectures/speech offered at the time of the program must pertain to the tenets of Sikhsim or affairs related to and for the benefit of the Sikh cause must be approved with prior written consent from the RGVSS executive committee.
(4) Please refrain from lecture/speech or distribution of any material on behalf of RGVSS, unless decided otherwise with prior written approval from RGVSS executive committee.
(5) Any equipment/material borrowed from RGVSS Gurdwara Sahib must be authorized with prior written consent.
A non-refundable deposit ($51) is required to borrow items (Bheta).

All Verbal consent/confirmation from Jaswinder Kaur or Sat Jivan Kaur only.
Once request either verbal or email has been confirmed, an approval form will be sent to the recipient. This approval from must be printed and shown at Gurdwara premises when borrowing equipment/materials. Once items are in your possession, you are fully liable for any damages caused and will become responsible for any repairs and or replacements, as needed.
(6) No firearms or weapons allowed on Gurdwara Sahib premises.
Any member who violates these rules and regulations intentionally may be disqualified from Gurdwara Sahib membership and may be expelled from the premises to maintain the sanctity of the Gurdwara sahib.
If there are any question of interpretation, the members of the RGVSS executive committees will have final say.

These rules and regulations were approved by the RGVSS executive committee, at a meeting held on April 9th 2015, at the Kundalini Yoga House (2219 Royal Palm Dr, Mission, Texas 78572).
